A big leaf maple coffee table in a Chicago living room. Sixty inches long and thirty inches wide, built from two slabs of figured maple set with their live edges facing inward, so the natural edges read as a channel through the center rather than an outline around the piece. A single pane of glass spans the opening, leaving the live edge visible from above and the floor visible through it. Solid walnut base. Built to order by Statement Chicago.
